A crisis plan is a detailed document designed to help caregivers and providers prepare for, effectively respond to, and recover from a disruptive event or emergency. The primary goal of a crisis plan is to minimize harm and restore stability as quickly as possible.
Work with your loved one or client to complete the Crisis Plan together. The person completing the plan should keep a copy in an easily accessible location and the family, friend, or provider should also keep a copy of the plan.
